Community Shop Grant Program
Each year, we proudly award grants to local organizations that make a difference in our community.
Congratulations to our 2026 grant recipients!
In less than a year at our new location, Community Shop is honored to recognize our 2026 Grant Recipients! We are deeply grateful for your generous donations and the unwavering support of our volunteers. Read below to learn about our 2026 Grant Recipients and their mission to support Aransas County.
Cat Tales Rescue TX
Award: $11,000
Since receiving its 501(c)(3) certification in 2019 through 2025, Cat Tales Rescue TX rescued 2,644 homeless cats. All received a medical review with spay/neuter surgery before rehoming. This 2026 Community Shop Grant enables CTRTX to continue its mission to seek out homeless cats in Aransas County and improve their lives.
CTRTX places cats under its care with several different programs including adoption at no-kill shelters, direct adoptions and TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return) programs so the cats are not a burden, but an asset to the community.
Aransas County Animal Care
Award: $12,300
We are incredibly honored to have received this grant from The Community Shop!
This support will go directly toward educating our youth by teaching our children empathy and responsible pet ownership today, we are preventing the neglect and shelter over crowding tomorrow. Our Team will have a more polished and professional presence at local events, creating a warm, welcoming space for families to meet their future best friends. We will have the resources on hand to turn conversations into successful, lifelong adoptions.
Our goal is to be more than a just a facility. We want to be a resource and partner to every resident of Aransas County. Partnerships like this make our work possible.
Thank you, Community shop, for investing in our mission and our community!
The Well Rockport
Award: $14,000
The Well Rockport extends its sincere gratitude to the Rockport Community Shop for their generous grant and support of our mission.
The Well Rockport is dedicated to assisting women and children navigating difficult or unsafe situations by connecting them with trusted local resources, including shelter, counseling, and advocacy services. This funding will help strengthen our outreach efforts, expand community awareness, and support the development of our volunteer program. It will ensure more individuals in need can access help quickly and safely.
We are honored by this investment in our work and our shared commitment to building a stronger, safer community.
Rockport volunteer fire dept
Award: $31,800
The Rockport Volunteer Fire Department would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Community Shop for their continued support of our department and the community we are proud to serve.
Thanks to the Community Shop’s generous contribution, our department was able to purchase new stabilization equipment used during vehicle extractions and rescue operations. With the ever-increasing volume of traffic on the bypass and surrounding roadways, it was time for our department to upgrade this critical life-saving equipment.
Because of their support, we were able to purchase two complete Rescue-Jack stabilization kits, one for each of our new engines ensuring that our firefighters have the tools they need to safely and effectively stabilize vehicles during rescue incidents.
Investments like this directly impact the safety of both our responders and the citizens we serve. The Community Shop continues to demonstrate an incredible commitment to the people of Rockport and Aransas County.
Thank you for your continued dedication to the members of this community that we both proudly serve.
